A few years ago there was an arcticle in the German Magazine Focus about drug abuse among recreational athletes during marathons. According to the article the number of participants who abuse drugs to run a marathon is growing through the last few years.
Be aware of your limitations and set your goals according to our abilities. It is not about how fast we run, it is about how much fun we have on our runs. Since we are not proffesional athletes we need to act accordingly.
We should run for ourselfs, not to prove to others how fast or strong we are.
